Busy Days!

So, are you all ready for Christmas? I think I finally am!!  Just got home from the last trip to the grocery store… hopefully!!  What a zoo!!

I think I told you in a previous post that I finished another of my Christmas kits on my guild UFO list, but I couldn’t show pix or post about it as it was a gift!

But my sister opened it, so now I can show you!!

It was a free pattern for the “It’s Christmas!” fabric collection, from last year.

But of course, I made it my own by adding the border print on all four sides rather than just the top and bottom.

I fell in love with the curls on everything!!  Elf hats, shoes, treetops, chimneys, etc!!

I have always loved anything with curls and spirals!!  You, too??

I also saw a neat idea for storing your quilting rulers on a pegboard mounted on the inside of a closet door!  How very clever!!  So my DH cut and mounted this pegboard on my stash closet door for me!!

And by getting all those rulers out of a large dresser drawer in my sewig room, I was able to take my precuts and kits out of the cubbies and put them into those now reorganized drawers!  Which left me with some empty cubbies (YAY!!)

which them allowed me to reorganize my fabrics in all the cubbies and make more space!!

It’s soooo nice to be able to see all the fabrics in each stack and be able to pull one out and not have the whole stack come out and fall to the floor because of it all being crammed into those tight spaces!!  Woo hoo!!

Well, Yogi is worried- are you ready for Christmas??

  7. Beautiful Christmas quilt! I love your new ruler storage and I LOVE your cubbies of fabric even more! I wish my fabric stash looked so good! I've got everything done for Christmas which is a good thing since I'm curled up on the sofa under a blanket with a cold.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
