Yesterday was our October
bee day at my house!
I love fall and Halloween,
so it was fun to set the table!
I got a bundle of some really
cute Halloween fat quarters in
the blog hop prize box the other
day, so I used them to make my
bee-mates some cute little
scrappy candle mats.
This pattern has three sizes
of these cute little mats.
I found small jar candles so I
made the smallest size for them.
The center is made by folding
four squares into prairie points!
Clever, huh? You sew one on
each side of the center square.
Then you add strips around
that center square, make the
quilt sandwich, quilt it,
then bind it! All done!
This one is the large size!
It fits a large candle jar!
Such a fun, quick and easy
little project that would make
a wonderful gift! You can make
several in just a few hours!!
Think of all the scraps you
have leftover from different
holiday quilts like Halloween,
Christmas, Valentine’s Day,
Easter, July 4th… you could
make them for every holiday!
