Well, the project chosen for our online Schnibble group for this month was really not a “Schnibble”, but was a free choice from any of Camille Roskelly’s mini-quilts. I chose the one called “Rise and Shine”.
Well, my name for mine is “Sew Very Tiny”.
Because it is soooo verrrryyyy tiny.
The finished size is 13.5” square which is made up of 358 very tiny pieces. Check out the back side of the pieced top…
And although I do love the design and would gladly sew up the larger version…
I will NOT be making this tiny one ever again.
This is our fourth year, I think?, of a Schnibble a month and I have really loved making one every month.
The average size of Carrie’s patterns tend to be around 32-36” or so square or an occasional rectangle…
which are perfect gifts and are a great size for table toppers or wall quilts or even a small baby quilt.
But this size is just sewww NOT my thing.
I have mine sitting under my plant on my grandmother’s antique treadle machine table in my morning room.
all that work and it is barely seen…sigh.
Sewww, I sure hope the project for May is a real Schnibble!!
Sewww, what are you working on this week?
