Bye Bye Geraniums!

Well, we had our first snow of this winter! Unfortunately, it really doesn't "count". As a teacher, snow ONLY counts, on a school day! And this snow was on Saturday...
so NO Snow Day! :-(

But it was really pretty and picturesque coming down. I had bee at my friend Lorraine's house on Saturday. Her house was beautifully decorated for Christmas with carols playing and the fireplace crackling... so the snow was the perfect backdrop!!

And I was just saying that my geraniums had never lasted so long on my front porch steps. They have always been dead and gone longggggggg before December!!

Well, they are surely dead now.
Already turning to goo as we speak.

I was going to put out my Christmas lights on my twirly trees out front this weekend. Well, now it will be when it all melts. Won't take long...just a few days.

Lots of it melted today as the temps got up to mid 50's and the sun was bright all day.

But, I did get some stuff done this weekend instead. I cut apart all the t-shirts my son Anthony gave me to put in a quilt for him at bee. And I finished quilting my It's A Wrap quilt. I've got it right here by my red chair ready to hand sew the binding down.
So, what are YOU working on?

Quilt Lover Here

My Westie, Yogi is a quilt connoisseur.
He can smell an open quilt,
ripe for being laid upon,
a mile away.

This morning, he discovered my

Ribbon Candy quilt on the couch.

He even changes position while sleeping.

Does he not look beyond comfy?

Yogi is our third "son" and we love him dearly.

Do you think he is dreaming about squirrels?

Busy, Busy, Busy!

This is me right now!

I've spent the day taking down and packing away the 3 plastic tubs of Thanksgiving decorations, taking them down to the basement for storage, bringing up the 9 plastic tubs of Christmas decorations and putting them out. In between, my son Anthony and I went to Home Depot and got our live 7' tall live Fraser fir tree. Then back to decorating.
I got the family room and kitchen finished. Tomorrow I'll do the living room and dining room. The live tree is in the living room, so that will be done, tomorrow, too. If I don't run out of steam, I'll also do the front steps outside... but that may have to wait until Sunday.
Tomorrow, I also have to run to Joann's to get some interfacing that's on sale for Anthony's T-Shirt quilt that I haven't even started yet... a Christmas present. YIKES!
Well, I'm exhausted, so gonna put my feet up and relax a bit.
It's been a longgggggg day!
