Quilting Again!!

I finished the 6 placemats and large table runner from the Strawberry Fields fat eighth bundle.  Whew!

The table runner is super big… 25” wide by over 100” long!!

The table we will buy for our new house will be a long one, so I made this runner long!!

But in making it so long, I learned a valuable lesson! 

This little sewing table in this little corner is way too small for anything that big!!

It was a pain to quilt!  So, no more big stuff to be quilted here!!  If I make any big tops while here in this tiny apartment, I’ll put it away and quilt it later when I’m in my new sewing room in the house!!

A bloggy friend, JoAnne, sent me this photo she found on Facebook…  we couldn’t decide if it was cute or creepy…  what do you think?

Nobody puts Baby in the corner!

Except me!  Sewing in a little corner will definitely take some getting used to…

especially after having everything I ever needed within reach in my old sewing room!

So, I’m still finding where I put stuff in totes that I packed and brought to the apartment,

and where I can put them here, in my little sewing nook.

There is definitely some shakiness with this small sewing table compared with my Horn cabinet…sigh…

I pulled out one of my fat eighth bundles of Strawberry Fields fabric and am working on some new placemats and a long table runner.

Yogi is missing his bed up on my sewing table.  I think the vibration of my machine lulled him to sleep his whole life and he misses it!

I’ve got this pile of scraps from cutting the fat eighths into bricks…

hmmm…toss or keep?
