Roman Holiday Done!!

Over two years ago at our 2009 fall guild retreat,

I made this jelly roll quilt top from Moda’s Roman holiday collection.

It was my only quilt top in my sewing room still  not quilted!! 

I quilted it last week and attached the binding and label in time to take it to bee on Saturday and finish it up!!

The sun was out this morning so I took it out on the deck and photographed it finally!

Yogi sure loved being out on the deck with me!

He had such a good time sniffing all the spring

scents on the breeze!  You could just see his

little nose twitching away as he sniffed!!

March Schnibble Done!

Today was bee day at Suzanne’s house!  I finished sewing down the binding and attaching the label on my version of the Schnibble quilt for March just in time! 

The pattern was Bibelot!  And I did not even realize until it was finished that I used the same exact fabric collection as Carrie herself!!

Moda’s Curio by BasicGrey!!  Such lovely calming fabrics!  Wonderful!

I just quilted it with a simple meander with white thread!  My backing was a stash floral that matched perfectly!  I already know who I am giving this quilt to for Christmas!!  One gift done!!

We are sooo coated with pollen here in northern VA that the pollen count has broken records! 

So, with my allergies and asthma, I am much better off in my sewing room than out gardening!!

So, what are you all doing this fine early spring weekend??  It is raining here in northern Virginia all day today, so it was just as well, that I spent the day reading!! 

This week, I read all three of the Hunger Games books… truly addictive!  Did you read them?  Did you like them?  Are you going to see the movie??
