Orange Ya Glad??

I fell in love with a quilt
I saw on Quilt Taffy a
few months ago.

I mean seriously...

ORANGE??

Soooooooo not my favorite color
(except in October for
Halloweenie stuff!)

Plus, this quilt used solid
WHITE fabric, too.

I NEVER use solid fabric...
and especially not WHITE!!

But something about
this little orange and white
quilt called my name...

So, I HAD to go buy some
orange and white fabrics,
of course.

Hoping to get to work some
more on this quilt
today!
Sewwwwwwwwww,
stay tuned!!  :-)

P.S.  Is Blogger driving anyone
 else out there CRAZY???
It's taking  F O R E V E R
 to load any photos...
WHEN the upload button
deigns to appear and
 even work at all????
What am I doing WRONG?????
soooooooo frustrated...  :-(

  1. I know what you mean about blogger. I think it is driving all of us crazy. I wish they had just left things the way they were.

I loved that orange quilt pattern too. I have my stash of oranges that I am going to make into one as well. Isn't it fabulous? Yours is looking soooo good.

  2. I'm so not an orange person either. Might have something to do with the fact that I'm a Texas Aggie, but that quilt is darling! It looks refreshing! And about Blogger - UGH! I have been having a horrible time with it. Did everything I could find to do. I finally uploaded the photos directly to my Picasa web albums and then they easily loaded to my blog. Hope that helps! I almost gave up!

  3. That quilt would look good with any color but the orange is very pretty.

  4. Oh what a fun quilt! I don't have problems with photo loading, but as I'm typing the cursor won't move where I want it to. LOL Now I'll probably have photo problems too. ;-) Have a great day!

  5. I love the orange blocks!

I had so many problems with blogger, I started using "windows live writer" and it imports directly into Blogger. Works like a charms and its a FREE Program. Try it out.

  7. ME TOO!! ME Too!! Blogger is making me crazy and taking way too much of my time! I just figured it was me but now I see that it might be Blogger's problem. I like to post pictures when I blog but I don't want to spend an hour trying to figure out how to get my pictures on my blog. BTW, I'm becoming more and more "in-like" with orange. It has never been one of my favorite colors even though my mother loved the color and made me wear brown and orange outfits ALL the time. Yuck!! I do love your little quilt blocks. They look quite festive and makes me want to run up to my sewing room instead of looking at everyone else's quilting in bloggy land.

Keep us posted on the quilt's progress!

  8. DH has an orange and white quilt that his grandmother made for him. It's all hand pieced and hand quilted. I'm anxious to see how your turns out!

  9. When I was a little girl...orange was my FAVORITE color. Which was only a problem b/c I was a little girl in the early '70s when it was possible to buy orange naugehyde bunk beds and desk sets. You can imagine my trauma in the slate & mauve 80's when I had to take that orange furniture to college...I'm back to loving orange. But I'm still kind of a closet orange lover b/c of the trauma.

  10. I'm like you, I rarely use orange except in Halloween projects and not much plain white, but these blocks are super cute. Can't wait to see it all put together.
