My Bad!

Yes, I'm bad!
Instead of going home after work and
getting busy finishing the June Schnibbles
which is up on my design wall....

I made the mistake of sitting
in my red chair and picking up
 a novel I am reading...

And that was that!
No sewing... so engrossed in this great book
that I sat there reading until I had
to get up to make dinner!
Didn't sew a stitch!
sigh...

Works in Progress

I've laid out my Quilt Along blocks on my
design wall and am ready to
sew them together...

but as we've only got three more days in June,
I've stopped for the time being in order to get
my Schnibbles "State Fair" completed!

I made the blocks yesterday and this afternoon,
I trimmed them and arranged  them on my
design wall, ready to sew them together!
Hopefully tomorrow after work,
I can get the top done!
What did you create this weekend??

Quilt Along Blocks

Today, I was able to find some time to sew up

 the CGQC Quilt Along blocks.

I really love these 16 patch blocks!

Now I can't wait to see it all put together!
I hope your husbands and fathers had a wonderful Father's Day!
I sent my Dad in Orlando a cheesecake from Harry and David.
My DH chose the menu for today's dinner-
grilled strip steak with marinated mushrooms,
 creamy garlic shell pasta, salads
and rootbeer floats!  YUM!!
What did you do this weekend?

I'm using an old old pattern from the 80's
 that I've always loved!!

Today after work I finished
the tossed mums shirt!

If I Were...

I saw this activity on another blog and thought it would be fun to do myself and fun to challenge others to do-

If I were a month I’d be October.

If I were a day I’d be Sunday.

If I were a time of day I’d be midnight.

If I were a font I’d be Curls.

If I were a planet I’d be Saturn...(with RINGS!!)

If I were a direction I’d be South.

If I were a piece of furniture I’d be an antique pie safe.

If I were a liquid I’d be a frozen pina colada.

If I were a gemstone I’d be a blue diamond.

If I were a tree I’d be a maple in autumn.

If I were an element I’d be trickling water.

If I were a tool I’d be a rotary cutter.

If I were a flower I’d be a ruffled peony.

If I were an element of weather I’d be falling snow.

If I were a musical instrument I’d be a xylophone.

If I were a colour I’d be periwinkle blue.

If I were an emotion I’d be joy.

If I were a fruit I’d be a juicy mango.

If I were a sound I’d be a tinkling wind chime.

If I were a car I’d be the pink Barbie convertible.

If I were a food I’d be a key lime cheesecake.

If I were a place I’d be a beloved home.

If I were material I’d be Minkee.

If I were a taste I’d be gingerbread.

If I were a scent I’d be gardinia.

If I were a body part I’d be thick spirals of red hair.

If I were a song I’d be "The Look of Love" by Burt Bacharach.

If I were a bird I’d be a penguin.

If I were a gift I’d be priceless.

If I were a city I’d be quaint and artsy.

If I were a door I’d open into a secret garden.

If I were a pair of shoes I’d be comfy sandals.

If I were a poem I’d be real short.

OK, so who is next????

I Am SOOOOO Done!

Would you like to know what I did this weekend?
We had 22 new windows installed on Friday.
So this is what I did this weekend...

I painted the inside trim
ON ALL 22 WINDOWS!!
Can I put them down on my sidebar
under things I've done in June?

All Cut Out!!

Kelly gave us intructions as to what to cut out!
So, after work today, I cut mine all out!
Here are my 84 charm squares cut into pieces.
Isn't this fabric cute?
It's Tweet Tweet from Moda.

And here is everything ready and waiting...
(why did Blogger flip this photo?)

Time to sew, Kelly!!

What A Guy!!

My birthday is Saturday so when I saw this at the quilt show last weekend, I knew that's what I wanted for my birthday.  I've been thinking of buying one for a while as I'm running out of places to store my quilts.
I told my DH about it and he said-
"Go buy it!"  So I did!

I only have 6 quilts in it now, but more will fit!!

It fits in much better with the living room
decor than any other room in my house.

I am lovin' it in there!!
So, waddaudink??

Between Charming Friends Quilt Along

activity for this first week is to select our fabrics.  I've decided to make the smaller version and will use 2 charm packs from the "Tweet Tweet" collection from Moda, with a beige for the background and inner border.

I'm so excited about this quilt along!
The pattern is just adorable!!
