So sorry for my absence from the blogging world! I will try to do better! I’ve had sooooo many friends email me and ask me why I’ve not been blogging… what wonderfully unexpected and sweet concern!!
Mea culpa!! :-)
I’ve been taking it easy after my trigger thumb surgery and have not done any quilting…sigh… but am ready to get back to it. I have made some needed clothes. My parents and my sister are coming for a visit in a week and I’ve got to get my Mother’s quilt sandwiched and quilted before they come… besides the fact that I reallllly must do a super good cleaning of the house before they come, too! Grrrrrrr!!
One of the things I want to get into is using my Accuquilt GO! to cut up my zillions of scraps and get some “free” quilts out of them all!
Accuquilt is offering 22 free quilt patterns when you sign up for their newsletter. This offer is good for new newsletter subscribers. Their newsletter is informative and full of fun and creative ideas for using the Studio, GO! and new Baby! They sometimes have free new designs and patterns and often have wonderful sales! So, click on the image above or on the button on the left side of my page and sign up to get your free download of 22 patterns!
Sweet Yogi went to the groomer today and is always just tuckered out afterwards… he slept all afternoon when he got back! He gets the best sleep!!
The flowers on our deck are looking really good!
I consider the deck another room and love to decorate it with as many colors as possible…
When it’s super hot, I have to go out there and water them every day.
We use allot of the fresh herbs in marinades, sauces and other dishes. What’s your favorite herb?
Mine is rosemary…and basil…and mint…and oregano and… :-)
So, what have you all been up to????
Good to see you back and hope your thumb is better, Can't wait to see what you make with your Go! I keep trying to win one. I've finished a couple quilts and runners, stop by.

Glad to see your post. I kept checking on you and Yogi and was hoping you were okay. Your plants are beautiful! I put some maple leaf blocks from a swap together and will have a beautiful new lap quilt for the fall. I just need to piece the back as I had 2 blocks left and don't want to put them in the orphan box.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back Polly and that all is well. I have a small herb garden at my house, not because I use many of them but because I love the scents. :) blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I have a prolific herb garden, and we use it a ton. Tarragon and Spicy Saber Basil are the two favorites. But there are at least 15 types of herbs and they all get used.
