I did finish the Window Screen wall quilt.
While I do not usually back my quilts in muslin,
I did this time as it was included in the kit!
However using it this time made it fun to look at the quilting from the back of the quilt!!
This kit had the instructions and makings for two small wall quilts.
The second one utilizes the same fabrics to make this Picket Fence quilt.
I liked making this one, too!
Using a glue stick instead of fusible was an interesting technique.
When the pieces are small, I’d use it again.
But I think using fusible is better for larger pieces.
Last weekend was our local annual quilt show.
I went, of course, and totally forgot to take photos to post!!
But my dear friend, Linda, was so kind to take some for me to use!!
It was fun to wander the aisles through the vendor sections.
I love seeing the quilters of all different ages at the show.
Some just beginning to quilt and some who have been doing it for years… some decades!!
What did you do over the weekend??
Your wall quilts are beautiful Polly. I just love the window one.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are amazing!!My favorite is the picket fence. I like how you did the progress photos. Was that the quilt Show in Chantilly? I thought about going, but didn't make it in the end.

ReplyDeleteThose quilts are lovely! I have not tried the gluestick technique yet for applique, but I sometimes use it in other places.
ReplyDeletethose quilts look amazing and a fun show too.
ReplyDeleteThose little scenic/art type quilts turned out beautifully, I've not seen designs like this before!! You must have enjoyed the process very much to have got them done so quickly!!!!

ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty. And, the quilting is awesome - you can really see it with the muslin backing! Nice stitching girlfriend :0)!!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of using a glue stick. What an interesting idea. The quilt is gorgeous and I love the muslin backing. I often wonder why I choose prints that don't allow for the quilting to show.....maybe so my imperfections don't show through!!
