Busy Days!

So, are you all ready for Christmas? I think I finally am!!  Just got home from the last trip to the grocery store… hopefully!!  What a zoo!!

I think I told you in a previous post that I finished another of my Christmas kits on my guild UFO list, but I couldn’t show pix or post about it as it was a gift!

But my sister opened it, so now I can show you!!

It was a free pattern for the “It’s Christmas!” fabric collection, from last year.

But of course, I made it my own by adding the border print on all four sides rather than just the top and bottom.

I fell in love with the curls on everything!!  Elf hats, shoes, treetops, chimneys, etc!!

I have always loved anything with curls and spirals!!  You, too??

I also saw a neat idea for storing your quilting rulers on a pegboard mounted on the inside of a closet door!  How very clever!!  So my DH cut and mounted this pegboard on my stash closet door for me!!

And by getting all those rulers out of a large dresser drawer in my sewig room, I was able to take my precuts and kits out of the cubbies and put them into those now reorganized drawers!  Which left me with some empty cubbies (YAY!!)

which them allowed me to reorganize my fabrics in all the cubbies and make more space!!

It’s soooo nice to be able to see all the fabrics in each stack and be able to pull one out and not have the whole stack come out and fall to the floor because of it all being crammed into those tight spaces!!  Woo hoo!!

Well, Yogi is worried- are you ready for Christmas??

  1. Love the quilt and the cute label! Great idea for storing rulers and of course, such a sweet picture of Yogi! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year! Looking forward to your posts in 2015!

  2. Your quilt is so cute! It came out great. I am not quite ready yet, today I had a colonoscopy. How's that for festive? ;) Merry Christmas

  3. Your quilt is gorgeous, Polly. It's so different with a black background. Have a Merry Christmas. Hugs, Christine

  4. Your sister's quilt turned out fantastic...I'm sure she's thrilled. Just one more sleep until Santa comes!! I have two black female Scotties and they would love to get to know your Yogi. My Girls are Dottie (7) and Olive (5). What would our lives be like without our little furry friends. Have a wonderful Christmas. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create in 2015. Barb

  5. What a beautiful Christmas quilt. I'm sure your sister will love it. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs to Yogi

  6. Love your (sister's) quilt and congratulations on reorganizing your sewing studio! Finishing UFOs and cleaning my sewing room is on the agenda for early next year. Hugs to sweet Yogi. Happy Holidays!

  7. Beautiful Christmas quilt! I love your new ruler storage and I LOVE your cubbies of fabric even more! I wish my fabric stash looked so good! I've got everything done for Christmas which is a good thing since I'm curled up on the sofa under a blanket with a cold.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Thank you sooooooo very much for taking the time to leave a comment! I am always happy to know that someone is reading my ramblings!! Polly :-)
