I fell in love with this leaf quilt from Fig Tree Quilts, and I loved it in her Somerset collection.
It’s a jelly roll quilt, which I LOVE, as cutting is my least favorite part of quilting!
It was a fun block to put together!  Super easy, too!

The brown stems were put on with fusible then I blanket stitched around the edges.

I did make the quilt one row shorter than the pattern, and it still was a really large lap quilt!

I used three of the extra leaf block to make a small table runner for my foyer table.

I used the last leftover block to make a pillow cover for the library.

I also had many jelly roll strips leftover, so I cut them into squares and made a square table mat!

Really love these fabrics!!  The design is somewhat fallish,

Tomorrow I’ll be sewing on some birthday gifts for bee friends!!  Can’t show you those, though!!  They read my blog, too!!

So, Yogi is wondering what you are up to this week?

  1. Beautiful... You are so talented! Thank you for posting so many wonderful things.

  2. Fabulous Leaf quilt and I like your idea of using up the extra blocks and fabrics...
Not working on much as I seam to have lost my Mojo... :(

  3. Love your fig tree quilt I have always wanted to make this block your quilt has given me inspiration .
    Thank you.

  4. That's really lovely Polly, I've been wanting to make a fall leaf quilt for a while now and I think you found the one I like, thanks.

  5. You really got a lot of cute projects with that jelly roll. The leaf is so pretty. I really like your simple squares table topper too.
Today I was on a hunt in the basement for the lost dog clippers. My little Westie (Titan) really needs a haircut. Don't worry Yogi, we took him to the groomer while the clippers were lost. Today they are found.

  6. I love this leaf quilt and the Fig Tree fabrics. I went to Fig Tree Co. to find the pattern and I could not. Is it new? Thank you.

  7. The leaf quilt is lovely! I agree with you that it seems fallish, but it definitely could be put out in September -- at least around here everything turns to fall themed as soon as the kids go back to school in August. We're hibernating because it's so cold here.

  8. Beautiful quilt! Looks lovely. I was trying to find the pattern on fig tree quilts but could not, what is the name of it? Thanks so mich

    1. The pattern name is Twirl! Here's a link-

  9. Hey Polly (& Sweet Yogi!!) Love, love, LOVE your leaf quilt!! The colours against the white with the simple leaf pattern are gorgeous and fresh ... I've drooled all over my keyboard! Tee! Hee! Hee! Glad you and Sweet Yogi are enjoying some quality time in your sewing cave. Bear Hugs! KRIS xx

  10. Love the quilt and your little dog.

Thank you sooooooo very much for taking the time to leave a comment! I am always happy to know that someone is reading my ramblings!! Polly :-)
