she was embarrassed that she had shown
everyone her stash.
Whaaatttttt???
You call that a STASH??????
Here's an up-close of one of my three
shelf units in my stash closet.
Here it is full view.
I've got more in sets of drawers under my table.
My stash continues to overflow into sets of
drawers all over the room. And don't forget
the individual FQ's, charm packs, jelly rolls,
honey buns, and FQ bundles stuck in all over.
OK, Kelly!
You can't possibly still be
embarrassed NOW, right???
OK, so who's next?
Who will carry the torch next and
SHOW US YOUR STASH???
OK, so who's next?
Who will carry the torch next and
SHOW US YOUR STASH???
Oh my! That is quite a stash you have there! And I thought I was bad. I have to show my husband, he thinks I have a major fabric problem. LOL
ReplyDeleteOf course, now I have major fabric envy for you;-)
Oh, Polly! I love ya, dear friend! Thank you so much for being good company with me! I was feeling really bad - but you made me smile!!! I heart you and your beautiful stash!!! I'm going to post about this too - see if we can get some others to share stash photos - it's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteMy stash is embarrassingly small compared to yours:) I definitely don't have that much closet space!!! You've got a great stash Polly -- keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Kelly didn't get any response to people about her stash idea is that no one wants to get rid of the stash they have. It takes a long time to accumulate all that and each piece reminds you of a special project. I loved looking at both you and Kelly's stash, but mine is not so orderly as both of yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
OH MY GOODNESS!! I only have 1/4 of what Kelly has and I was so fed up with it that I actually have cut a lot into strips to make QAYG blocks. I have decided that when I what to make a quilt I would like to then choose the fabric and buy it.
ReplyDeleteStill have some to use up first though. I'm working on it.
Yikes! Hope there's not an earthquake where you live and the stash falls! It is terrific. I'm using as much stash as I can these days with a few forays into purchasing newer stuff. I still like most of my old stash -- most of it is not as old as old fashion calico, thank goodness. Hum, I may have to post mine. I'm going through the Fabricholics Anonymous blog ring...
ReplyDeleteMy stash is only a fraction of yours, but your´s is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCan I come fondle?
ReplyDeleteThe fabric, silly, the fabric.....ROFLOL
Ok...you have a STASH!!! Wow...love it!
ReplyDeleteI aspire to be just like you and Kelly when I grow up! My entire stash fits in one plastic bin. But....I haven't been doing this very long, and I really like shopping for fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love how you have everything organized...I always have trouble 'classifying' my fabric into groups. I've taken up your challenge and posted pics of my stash/storage too.

What a stash! Mine is so tiny compared to yours. It looks like there's a place for everything. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow!! What a beautiful stash you have...thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI gotta show this post to Little sister--she thinks I have too much--well--Polly--you take the prize!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for cheering up my friend Kelly!
hugs, Di
I think we generally want what we do not have. Some of us would love to have a large stash and those that have it want to use it. Personally, I think I would love to have that much fabric. But, mine would probably never look that neat. Love your post. Love your stash.
ReplyDeleteLoving it!!! I've been seriously worried about my stash size..but it's good to know I'm in good company!
ReplyDeleteWow! love it...thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR STASH! I hope one day to have a pile like yours! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour ramblings are very coherent to me!
ReplyDeleteI have two tall garage cabinets in my sewing room both with double doors and shelves and they are full and fuller. Problem is when I am ready to make something I always need something else that I don't have and I always buy extra. Love it love it! I rearrange it just so I can enjoy seeing it again. I'll never live long enough to use it all up but I'm sure going to try! Thanks for sharing!
Peg
You've convinced me that I hardly have any fabric at all!
ReplyDeleteIf you happen to have a sofa bed in your sewing room, It amazing how much material you can lay on it and still fold it up.
ReplyDeleteI would never do such a thing but 20-30 yards is no problem!
