Missing My Baby…

My Bernina Artista 640E… my baby… sniff sniff… is in the quilt shop for repair and adjusting… sigh  I am really missing her!!  Sad smile

Thank goodness, I have my old Bernina Virtuosa 160 to pull out of the closet and set up in my sewing table!  The clear insert doesn’t fit too well, but I’m making do!

So, I was able to finally quilt my Schnibbles quilt for January- “Full House”yesterday.

I made it from Kate Spain’s beautiful collection- “Good Fortune”. Love the pastels with pops of red orange!  Yowsza!!

I free-motion quilted it with meandering leaves.

I used a pretty hydrangea print from my stash for thebacking and a pretty swirly green fabric for the binding.

YAY!  Am so happy to get the first Schnibbles project for the new year completed before the last day of the month!!  Whew!!  Smile

I can’t wait to find out what comes next!!  Smile

  5. Hi Polly OOh I really love your quilt especially in Kate Spain's Good Fortune it is one of my favorite lines right now. Your baby will be home soon.
I don't know what is my problem these days but I just can't seem to get back to sewing. I think I wore myself out before christmas and right now I seem to want to lay in front of fire and read. My Son bought me a Kobo Reader for Christmas and the learning curve of downloading the books took a while but now that I finally figured it out I just want to read. I think I have post Christmas flu. lol

  8. Your houses look so cheerful in your fabric choice. I still have my old 830 Bernina for a spare, she is my workhorse.

  18. My bernina is also one of my most treasured possessions! I had sooo many sewing projects on my TO DO LIST that i drew up at the beginning of the year only to have life put a spanner in the works but your completed quilt has given me the shove to just make time! Love the quilt btw!

  19. I'm keeping a good thought for a speedy recovery for your Bernina. I have one in the shop right now too so I feel your pain. :)

Just as a girl can't have too many Berninas, she also can't have enough Kate Spain fabric. I love your Good Fortune Full House even though it confirms the fact that I don't have enough of this collection.

    Your quilt is gorgeous!
