Six Tops Done!

A week ago, I cut out six new spring blouses and this morning I finished the last one. They are all complete with buttons and ironed and ready to wear! Yesss! Love finishing projects!

I pulled out some new fabrics from my stash to cut out some more. I bought some new patterns this past weekend at Joann's during their pattern sale, a few McCall's and Vogue.

I was so hoping for some nice weather during this spring break, but it has rained off and on all day and we even had some thunder this morning. YUCK!! The pear trees in the back yard have budded out and their light green leaves are pushing off the petals. The cherry trees in the front yard are at peak and are now shedding their petals like drifting snowflakes. So, both my front walk and the back deck are covered with petals. And we all track them inside every time we walk Yogi, so now they are also inside , too! ACK! So extra sweeping, blowing and vacuuming for awhile.
This morning, I started reading Jodi Picoult's newest novel- Handle With Care with my morning coffee. Very sad tale so far, but her books usually are emotionally riveting tales. Do you like her books? I think I've read them all. Do you have a favorite? I think my favorite book of hers was My Sister's Keeper.
Well, I hope to cut out some more tops tonight! God Bless! Polly

  2. Wow, those are great tops! I am now inspired to sew for me again. Thank you. I've just discovered your blog and I'm enjoying reading the older posts but I must get off the computer and see what patterns I have stashed away for myself. I see a trip to the fabric store in my future. :-)

  3. wow, you are a very speedy seamstress! Those are some fun summery tops!

I think Jodi's books are usually very thought provoking. I loved "My Sister's Keeper". Keep me updated on this one and if it is a good one, I will add it to my summer reading list.
