Pets on Quilts Show 2011

I LOVE this fun activity that Darlene, aka Sewcalgal, organizes for us every summer!

If you read my blog much, then you know how much I adore my Westie, Yogi.

He is my constant companion in my sewing and quilting adventures.

He has a permanent bed on my sewing table in my studio.  He is is sooo many pictures and posts here on my blog.

My two sons are grown and Yogi helped us with a quiet empty nest!  He is our third “son”!!

If there is a quilt on any piece of furniture (which there is a zillion of in my home)

or even any piece of block of a quilt in the making that Yogi can get to, he is soooooo ON it!!  LITERALLY!!

And not only does my camera LOVE Yogi, Yogi is a camera hog, too!!

A romance made in heaven, don’t you think!?!  This was last year’s photo in the Pets on Quilts Show.

We hope you are having a fun summer and staying as cool as possible in the heat!  The sewing room is the perfect place to be in all this heat, right?

  8. I love Yogui in your sewing room, it's funny because he sleep on the table, it's right????. My westie (Kara)loves sleep in my quilts too!!!!
    In Spain it's no possible sewing because it's very hot!!!

  13. I had to giggle. I have a dog who has to be on a quilt or one in progress. I know to be very careful when doing a lay out with a quilt on the floor. I have sewed blocks together wrong after he has been on it.

  14. Well Yogi gets MY vote! His little inquisitive face always makes me smile! Next Wednesday I will officially be an empty nester and I'm pretty sure I'm in fo a rough patch. Think I may need a Yogi, but I'm also pretty sure that there is only 1 Yogi! Thanks for sharing him with us! Your 4 squared quilt is fabulous! Great colors

  17. I feel as if I know Yogi very well and I'm always willing to see more pictures of the little charmer. I loved last year's picture, but the bright colors of this year and his little smile are perfect. Thanks for the smiles.

  21. I just think he is the cutest...as I have told you, I have a Westie also, Molly and we call her our "furry child"....take a look at my blog..she celebrated her 10th BD on Aug. 9...I love your quilts...so colorful...

  38. I adore Yogi too. So happy to have you both in the show this year. Of course, I do think you need to create a photo portfolio of Yogi and your quilts and submit it to some quilt book publishers and magazines. I'm sure they'd love to hire him as a model. Such a cutie.

  50. I have started a at home quilting business for doggy quilts. I have sold a few and received lots of compliments. These are easy patterns to use for weather that us too uncomfortable for a heavy blankie. I have starting donating these quilts at pet adoption sites. Would do do more for our animal friends. Any suggestion?
