We’ve been waiting for this trip for forever…
I could never get enough time off from work to go, until I retired last July!!
My younger son, Anthony, and his wife Leah, will be taking care of Yogi for us at their apartment, while we are gone!! He will love that!!
I will try to post a time or two while we’re gone, whenever the hotels we are staying in have free Wifi, via my iPhone!!
So, be patient and I’ll be back in a few weeks!! Ciao for now!!
Have a wonderful time! My husband and I are headed there this summer for our 20th wedding anniversary with our two sons. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to meet my father's family whom I've spoken to but never met. Enjoy!

Wow! Have a great time! I have been many times, but it still feels amazing every single time!!! Enjoy the pizza! ;-)
ReplyDeletePlease visit the roof of the cathedral! There is an elevator for which you can buy a ticket at a little office behing the cathedral on a corner ( on the right hand side). There are also steps if you do not want to use the elevator. Both are small, though. Not good for people with fear of small spaces. Have fun!

Have a wonderful trip! My parents went to Italy (we're Australian so you can imagine that it's huge to do a Euro holiday from here) in 2007. They loved it.
ReplyDeleteMy DH's father immigrated from Italy when he was 9. We did a Mediterranean cruise a few years back, leaving from and returning to Rome, and hit several ports in Italy. It was great and so glad we did it before my DH passed away. Have a GREAT time!
ReplyDeleteHave fun, take oodles of photos and share. I've never been to Italy before either, but would love to hear your recommendations. Are you visiting the Aurifil factory? What ever you do have fun and enjoy being retired!

I've been to Italy several times while we lived in Germany. I can tell you it's the best! You will absolutely love it! Keep your personal belongings close and not out of sight in tourist areas but you likely know that. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a wonderful trip! I went to Tuscany and Rome last year in May, and I can't wait to go back someday.
