Make a Wish and Blow!

I was at our wonderful LQS, Suzzie’s Quilt Shop, a few weeks ago and fell in love with this Martha Negley floral fabric… she is one of my favorite designers!!

Martha Negley Classics Dahlia Plum Cotton Fabric PWMN063-PLUM - HALF YARD

I found several fabrics in the shop that coordinated well with it, too!! My sister, Sally, bought me this one!

Even though the colors in the fabrics are not used in my house anywhere, I still found a few in my stash to go with them, too!!

And I had this cool pattern in my collection that I’d never made before, called “Easy Does It” by Darlene Zimmerman,  so I just HAD to get right on that!!

I am soooo happy with the final result!!!

This quilt is so pretty!!  I quilted it all over with a leaf motif!!

And I pieced the backing using up the leftover fabrics!  And I like that, too!!

Now I’m working on my Schnibble for February!!

  2. "Easy Does It" is so bright and pretty -- and all of my favorite colors too! Man, I wish I could sleep like Yogi! I'm suffering with a thoracic outlet syndrome flare-up and haven't been able to lay down, work at my desk or sleep for over a week now (shoveling too much snow did this to me).

  7. I have a similar Martha Negley fabric in the same colorway and it's one of my favorite fabrics in my stash. So much so that I haven't been able to make myself cut it up. I love what you made with your's.

  8. Wow, that goes with your dining room so well!!! Just beautiful and ready for Spring. I put together a Schnibble called Dulcinea this week, using two charm packs I had - Lovely by Sandy Gervais for Moda. Of course I cannot find any yardage out there to complete the borders so will have to dig deep to see what I can use. I really loved sewing those little pinwheel blocks while watching the snow come down. Lovely weather for sewing. Hugs to Yogi - I just love him to pieces from afar. Judy C in NC
